The Role in Context
You'll be supporting electrical maintenance operations at one of the UK's most critical infrastructure sites. Heathrow's aviation fuel distribution infrastructure - underground pipelines, hydrant systems, and fuel storage facilities - operates 24/7 to support the airport's operations. Electrical systems in this environment operate in hazardous atmospheres and are subject to stringent regulatory oversight.
The work is technical, compliance-focused, and genuinely important. Your procedures and risk assessments support safe operations. Your expertise in hazardous area electrical installations and aviation fuel standards ensures the infrastructure operates safely and complies with regulatory requirements.
Why This Role
Critical Infrastructure: Aviation fuel infrastructure is essential national infrastructure. Your work ensures safe, reliable fuel supply to the UK's largest airport.
Technical Depth: Hazardous area electrical engineering in aviation fuel infrastructure requires genuine expertise. This is rigorous, compliance-heavy technical work where safety and standards are non-negotiable.
